A New Chapter...Walking in Purpose

I’ve recently stepped into a new role as Product Manager in the PMO Office ,a newly created position in my organization that allows me to support multiple teams, set standards, and help shape how we approach innovation and delivery as a business. On paper, it’s a career milestone. But for me, it’s much deeper than that...

As an immigrant, a black woman, and someone who has often felt the weight of imposter syndrome, I know what it’s like to question if you belong in certain spaces. There were times I wondered if my voice was enough, if my skills were valid, or if I was just “lucky” to be at the table.

But through it all, I’ve held onto one truth that is: with God, all things are possible.

My journey in this country has taught me that you don’t need to have it all figured out just show up anyway because growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone. Your perspective, your background, your story, they are not weaknesses, they are your strengths.

What excites me most about this new chapter isn’t just the role itself, but the opportunity to create wider impact for my organisation, to serve, to learn from incredible colleagues, and to open doors for others who are coming after me.

To every immigrant, every woman in tech, every person who feels unseen or unheard: keep showing up. Keep doing your best. Silence that little voice of doubt that tells you otherwise. The very places you feel unqualified may be the exact places you are called to transform.

I’m eternally grateful to God Almighty who is the anchor of my faith, to my kids who inspire me daily, to the mentors who have shaped me, and to an organisation that sees the value in aligning people with their natural abilities.

This is only the beginning, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.
